Ode to a boy...

that keeps saving me over and over and over again.

This post is for Justin. A boy that has been the rescuer of my heart and soul.

When my ex was treating me terribly…he saved me
When I felt like I didn’t deserve better…he saved me
When I was overwhelmed with work…he saved me
When I ready to disown my father…he saved me
When I wrecked my car…he saved me
When my roomate conspired to get me fired at work…he saved me
When I needed to know that quitting was okay…he saved me
When I needed a place to live with one day’s notice…he saved me
When I needed to find a new job…he saved me
When I feel like everything is falling apart…he saves me

The past year has been the worst of my life, and he’s stuck through it all with me. Everytime I need him, there he is, by my side, arms wide open.

I wish there was a better way to say Thank You, to the boy who has gone above and beyond anywhere I ever imagined someone would go for me. The boy who puts up with my crazy, out of control, emotional, irrational, obnoxious self.

The boy who has made me believe that I deserve to be loved…
