Paws for the Cure® Dog Walk
I'm so excited to be doing this, because I'm always looking for new ways to be involved in the organization. I hope this becomes an opportunity for us to meet some new people in the area, give Bailey a chance to make some new friends, but most importantly, show those fighting breast cancer that we are here to support them! I've never been to an actual event, but I think this one will be an experience we remember for a lifetime.
I think next year, I'm going to look into the Susan G. Komen 3 Day! I think the closest one to me is Philly, which is really only like 4-5 hours away, and it would definitely be worth the drive. I would love to accomplish something like that, and help find a cure for a disease that changed my life eight years ago. Rachel has written about her experience so far this year, and her story has motivated me to look into it for next year. She's been inspiring me since the day I found her blog, and she is just such a good person. The world needs more people like her! And if I do participate in this event next year, I hope to meet her in the process!!
